Baby Boone and Big Brother Cash

We knew that Baby Boone was only days away from being born so we took his big brother, Cash, out for a super speedy outdoor photo shoot before the new little arrival. Cash is a kick in the pants, and always entertaining. It was freezing so we all performed at lighting speed and snagged a few great shots of this sweet boy. Just over a week later Boone made his way here. I took his photos when he was just a couple of days old and he smiled and smiled through them all. So sweet.

I love these peeps so very much! When my little sister and her little family came home for Christmas we decided to do a mini session to try and get some family photos. We lucked out that this December wasn't freezing, but these guys live in Vegas so little Mr. Madden was not so sure about the chill in the air. We only shot for about 10 minutes total, but we managed to get enough to tide them over until our trip to vegas! So more to come in warmer weather soon... Love you guys!

So I am certain that I will have no hair on my head if I continue to try to load pictures to this post. I don't know what is wrong with blogger, or what is wrong with me, but I cannot get these photos to load. I have lowered the quality, shrunk the size of the files, you name it I cannot get all the pictures that I want on this post to load!! So that being said I need to apologize to the Willie family that it has taken so long to just get this post taken care of. For what it is worth I have been trying relentlessly for two days! I la la la la love the Kimberlings. They made their way from Malad to get some fun shots of the kids for their Christmas cards. Momma Kimberling was really worried that little Jaxson would be fussy for the shoot, but he was an all-star. What she hadn't anticipated, however, was that 2-year-old Joseph might give us a run for our money. We worked pretty hard to pull some smiles out of him and managed to grab a few, but my favorites are of him looking at me like, "Don't you dare..." Big sis, Hallee looked perfect in all of them. They turned out so fun. Their mom said she was considering making the last photo the star of the Christmas card with the caption, "Some are naughty, some are nice..." That would bring me great joy...too funny.

Brower Family

So after a little scheduling conflict this cute family decided we would just take their photos as a follow-up to the Brower grandkids shoot. The girls did great. They are in that funny stage where their smiles look a little less than natural, but we all got a kick out of it. They were hilarious. We took a bunch of shots inside, but then decided to brave the outside for a little change of scenery. The snow had finally stopped for the most part, but it was still pretty stinking cold outside. We made quick work and got a few, but they all turned out great.

Every year I get to take a grand kids pictures of these cute kiddos. I think it is such a fun Christmas gift idea for their Grandma and Grandpa. We were all hoping for decent weather on the morning we scheduled, but as luck would have it it was an all out blizzard. We maybe would have chanced it with the older kids, but we knew the littlest guy probably wouldn't be able to take it so indoor we went. I thought their fun plaid colors looked great, and their pictures turned out really well.

Little Mr. Crew has been coming to me for his pictures since he was just a few days old, and I wont lie...I really look forward to taking this little guy's photos. He is so stinking cute! and always dressed to the nines. I just love him. We started out with the little rocking chair, and he LOVED it. When we tried some without it, though, he was not so happy about it. He requested "chair" over and over. It took a few minutes for Crew to warm up to me, but with promises of a tickle if he didn't smile, he put on quite a show. I need to apologize for teaching him to throw rocks...oops, but he sure had fun doing it :)

Aren't the Grovers such a hot little family? I had only met Ridge and his mom when we did his senior pics a couple of months ago. So I was excited to meet the rest of them and do their family photos. They really wanted a fall look, and we were worried we may have missed the boat, but we headed into the mountains anyway and and saw that there was snow. We decided to head up further and found some lingering leaves and a little snow, and I loved how it looked! We got a million great shots. They were so easy to take pictures of. I told her that I hoped to get to take all of these cute kids' senior pictures :)

I love the May family. They have been good to me and my family for as long as I have known them. I have taken pictures of different bits and pieces of this great family over the years, but this was the first time I was able to capture the whole clan together. They chose the location and I met them there on a brisk fall evening. Everyone was great, though. We made quick work in order to keep the kids all red-nose free :) and got some great shots. I loved when I asked the girls to line up and asked if we should have all the daughters-in-law on one side and the daughters on the other...momma Mays response, "They are all my daughters." lucky girls...lucky family...

The Robinson's contacted me to see if we could figure out a time to do a few family photos and some individual shots of their adorable daughter, Camryn, just before her first birthday. They wanted to meet inside because of the weather, so we headed out to my favorite indoor location. Camryn had just learned how to walk, so if I tried to sit her she crawled to us, and if I tried to stand her she got a big grin on her face and did her best to waddle toward us. She was so cute, and such a good girl. I so appreciated her parents being able to read when she was done and didn't push her a bit. Such a cute little family.

The Mills family asked if I could take some family photos of them before their son left on his mission. I was happy to do it and when I met up with them I thought they were such a good looking family. After lots of hard work with little kids this day, it was a nice change of pace to have a group of all adults who didn't require any noise making, dancing, or other entertainment :) We went to a few different locations and a absolutely loved so many of their photos. They were a really fun family to photograph.

I took the Brown family's pictures last year on Thanksgiving Break and it was FREEZING so I was so happy when I heard from them earlier this year. I wont lie, I think this is one stinking cute family. And the best part...they have personalities to match. These girls are so so so good. They are beautiful and they told me if we have one more boy we can have all four match up :) I totally agree. I love, love, love their photos. They took me to a really great place up in the mountains and I it was perfect.

The Quirl family asked if I could meet up with their whole family for a fall photo shoot. So we headed up into some mountains and found a perfect little spot with fun fall leaves. It was a pretty stinking cold morning, so we played a lot of "coat on...coat off" and some of the smiles on the little people's faces looked more like grimaces than smiles in a lot of the shots, but they were cute either way :) The colors turned out great, and there photos did too. I thought they all came together really well.

I met up with this cute Hess family in Malad on a Saturday morning that was pretty stinking cold. Little London had made up her mind before we even started that she was completely disinterested in having her picture taken, and gave me a real run for my money trying to get her porcelain little face to smile. Her big sister, Tatum, on the other hand, was a rock star and regardless of a little shivering smiled for me on every cue. After a little warming up the whole crew was ready, and everything came together. The leaves were perfection, and we ended up with a bunch of great shots! Such a cute little family.

I was so happy when the Hensons asked me to meet up for a family photo shoot. I hadn't seen little Layton since he was teeny tiny, and I think he is such a cute little guy. I couldn't wait to get my hands on him. He did great, outfit changes and all. He was pretty stinking easy to get to smile (and doesn't he have such a sweet smile?) which made my job easy. I had a lot of fun spending some time with this fun family, and got a bunch of great shots in the process. They turned out so cute.

When I was asked to take Tate's senior pictures, I was really excited. I had taken his sister's seniors a few years back, and some of his family's photos and I have been so impressed by all of them. So I really looked forward to doing these. It was FREEZING and I nearly cried for Tate when he came in a T-Shirt and told me that his next outfit change would be his basketball uniform. But he was great and pretended like he wasn't shivering from head to toe :) Tate is a great athlete, and I look forward to watching him in the coming months!I love how his photos look.

The day I met the Mitchells had been a wild one, but I was so relieved when I met this cute family for their family photo shoot. Little Miss Kennadi was adorable, and even though she thought she was going to get away with not smiling, it wasn't a problem that a little reverse psychology couldn't fix. Every time I told her not to smile, she tried her best to suppress that little cheese, but she just couldn't resist. It was clear to me that Kennadi's parents are beyond smitten with her. They were so fun to meet and to spend some time with, and their photos turned out great.

The Walsh Fam

This is the Walsh family. I had never taken their photos before, so I was excited when they asked if I could. We had a little delay with a broken tooth :) but they lucked out and the weather held up for them. These three little boys are such good kids. You can tell they have good parents. They did exactly as they were asked...with maybe the exception of getting little Bryson to smile. He was a little stingy with his grins, but I managed to steal a few and get some really fun photos of both him and his family. They are great. My only disappointment was that they had planned to wear wife beaters and changed their minds...I was really looking forward to that ;)

I am always excited when a book an appointment for a senior photo shoot. They are some of my very favorites photos to take. When I met Nate I was totally impressed by him. He seemed like such a good kid. Because he was so stinking tall I asked him if he played sports, and he told me that he plays baseball for Poky. He was humble about his playing, but when I got home and asked my husband (who might hold some sort of record as world's biggest sports fanatic) if he had ever heard of Nate, he told my what a great player Nate is and that his name graces the newspaper regularly during baseball season. Nate's photos all turned out so well. It was really hard to pick favorites.

I met up with the Ward Crew on a brisk Saturday morning for some family photos. It was pretty chilly, but everyone did great. I had never taken their pictures before, and they were a fun bunch to work with. Their dad was full of personality and had everyone giggling the whole time, and there were some definite blackmail pictures of him in the set ;) I posted of couple of everyone being goofy, just because they were so cute. We busted through all of the photos pretty stinking quickly...to avoid frostbite. But we ended up with lots of great shots to pick from.

The Williams Clan

Well the Williams family kept putting off their family pictures, and I kept warning them that it was going to be cold if they held out much longer. So they caved and scheduled and ended up with such a nice day. Now this handsome baby never cries, and I mean never! And just because it was picture day he decided to show me how loud he could be (which wasn't very loud). He did not want to cooperate, which meant that his brothers were trying to help him, while his parents were dancing behind me to get them to look up. Too funny. But I absolutely love all of their pictures! Three sweet boys...my favorite combination.

Creighton 18 months

It's hard to believe that Creighton is 18 months old. It has been so fun to take his pictures for the past year and a half. We met up on a chilly morning, and Creighton was not sure about the cold or me, but once he warmed up to both he did great. Creighton's parent brought along the new family dog to get some shots of the two of them together, but every time I would bend down to snap a shot the pooch thought I was calling for him and came and came and jumped on me. It was pretty funny. Creighton did awesome, though, and with a little help from a yellow dum dum we were able to get a bunch of great shots.

Every fall I take photos of the the Tarbet family, and it seems that every single time it is freezing cold. We were so excited this year when picture day came and it was nice outside! This fun family had a few places in mind and dressed accordingly. Kabree was awesome. She was enjoying every minute of all of our undivided attention. After a few hiccups on the morning of Brenna's bridals, she put herself together and looked perfect. We headed up into the hills and found that the leaves were perfection. So we started there and got some amazing shots. It was a little chilly in the mountains but well worth it. I have always thought Brenna was so stinking pretty, and she is so easy to photograph. So it's always fun to take pictures of her. Add a wedding dress and some fun red heels, and I found that the problem was going to be picking favorites...which has been so torturous. I loved so many of them. I am so happy with the way the all turned out.

Zoeigh was such a fun baby to take pictures of. She made her photo debut at the ripe old age of 10 days old. We laughed for the first 15 minutes trying to get her to decide whether she wanted to sleep or not, not because she was cranky just because she looked at us through one open eye. Once we figured out the position that made her happy, rolled up in a perfect little ball, she was easy breezy to photograph. She was such a good baby, and after photographing boy after boy after boy, it was fun to have a new baby girl to shoot. So cute.

This is my cutest niece, Teagan. We did her pictures quite awhile ago, but sadly when I am buried deep in pictures, my family has to wait a little longer to get theirs done. So after a little push from her mom I busted through them this weekend. Then...because blogger makes me want to tear my hair out...it has taken me 4 days to get them uploaded!! But beyond all of this, this photo shoot was beyond words fun, hilarious, you name it! Teagan, well let's just say she has a mind of her own. So each frame she reposed herself and said, "How about this? How about this?" We figured out a long time ago that this little lady does better with just the two of us, but after biting my cheeks trying to contain myself, I made her mom and grandma listen in on the last set, and watched them crack up the whole time. My favorite part...when in the end Teagan said, "I can't wait for family pictures!"

I have taken Livia's photos for the past few years and this year we were excited to add her little sister, Sofie, to the shoot. This cute pair, along with their mom, drive up from Utah every fall for their photos so we found ourselves in a bit of a pickle when the weather was terrible the day we had scheduled! It was freezing, raining, and blowing like crazy. So after a little thought I put in a call to my favorite indoor location, and I'm so happy they were able to help me out. The Browers called me for their yearly family pictures. I will confess. I love when I hear from this fun family who is always dressed to the nines and they never let me down. We did some family shots first, and then it was Averi's turn to shine. She just turned two and was ready for her close-up. I nearly fainted when her mom put this super cute little getup together. A feather skirt....come on! So Averi was just as excited as her mom and I were and played the camera like crazy. I thought all of their pictures turned out so great!

The Howe family contacted me to take their yearly family pictures, but this time they wanted me to meet them on their property for the shoot. So I followed their directions into the middle of nowhere and found them, and their giant Clydesdale horse :) These kids are always so stinking good to have their pictures taken. They do just as they are asked. Even little Jax performed like a champ. His dad stood behind me and asked him to show all of his tricks (which he did in perfect succession) and we ended up with a pretty stinking funny series of him. We got some great shots of this cute fam, and their cousins also joined up with us for a few shots in the end.

Holy cow! What else can I say? Brenna is one of my favorite gals of all time and has made a few appearances on the blog along the way. I had no idea that she would be making another appearance so soon, but once I met Scott and saw these two together there was no hiding that these two are meant to be. Can you say smitten kittens? I had so much fun spending the morning with them and taking their engagement photos. We ended up with millions of great pictures of these cute couple in such great outfits, and it was miserable for me to try to narrow some favorites down to post on the blog. I can't wait to take more...stay tuned for bridals!

It seems to be raining baby boys these days, and it couldn't make me happier. Tiny baby Jaxson was just a few days old when we took his newborn photos. I was so excited to meet this little man. The poor little fella just happened to get circumcised on the same day of his photos, so his mama was worried he might not cooperate. But Jaxson was such a trooper. He snuggled right in and performed like a champ! Jaxson's big sis told me how much she loved animal prints, so she cast her vote to use the giraffe and zebra props for her new baby brother, and I couldn't have agreed with her more. I love spending time with his family, he came to the perfect home.

When we talked on the phone about taking Ridge's senior pictures, his mom explained to me that she really wanted some photos of him with his truck. So the evening of his photo shoot his mom and aunt walked into my garage and pointed in another direction. I looked to see this senior with the hood up on the car and smoke barrelling out. So let's just say that the shoot didn't start out on the best foot. It didn't take long for things to turn around, though. Ridge was really photogenic and I had a lot of fun with him and his family doing the pics. We ended up with so many great photos. We are planning to do a round 2 shoot, and hoping that his truck might make an appearance that day.

Baby Madden

Well the phone call came in that my little sis had just had a new baby boy, and the plans began immediately to figure out when I would be able to get to Las Vegas to take his photos. I made it there when he was 4 days old, and fell in love with him instantly. This chubby little fella weighed in at a robust 9lbs 9oz, and carries most of it in those scrumptious cheeks. So just after I arrived we did some shopping, and started shooting. Madden's momma was worried he wouldn't be too cooperative, but she was totally wrong...he snuggled right in and thoroughly enjoyed having his photos taken. His dad kept apologizing to him. Telling him that we thought he was a doll to dress up, but he didn't seem to mind a bit. He is such a good baby and I love him to bits. I am so happy I was able to go have that time with him and his mom. Love you guys.

I was excited when the Harding Family asked me to take their family photos. I had taken their daughter's senior photos a couple of years ago, and was so impressed by her. So I knew the rest of the family was sure to be great. Right when the little one arrived I was warned that she is pretty stingy with her smiles, but I love a good challenge. So I pulled out my bag of tricks and sure enough she was smiling in no time at all. We were able to get a bunch of great shots in only a short period of time. Oh, and if you're trying to place the dad of this family...he has probably refereed one, if not many of your games-including some of mine back in the day :)

I took the Esteps engagement and wedding photos just over a year ago and had so much fun with them. So I was happy to hear from them when they contacted me to ask if they along with some of their closest buddies could get some updated photos. I thought it sounded like a lot of fun, and they wanted to chose their own location so off we went. I LOVED the area they took me to. It was beautfiul. It had been a super windy day (which is the curse of the Esteps) but when we got to the location the weather was perfect. I had a lot of fun taking pictures of these cute couples. We ended up with a bunch of really great shots!

I fell in love with this baby the first time I held him. He is such a perfect little tiny guy. His mom had warned me that her babies chunk up right after they are born so if we were going to catch the newborn we would have to take pictures as soon as they got home from the hospital. So little baby Drey was only a few days old when he debuted in his first photo shoot. One huge plus in having a baby in the summer is outside shots! I loved them all and snapped about a million frames of this sweet baby. (Notice his toes on his chin in the outside shots...so sweet) I love him, I love his family, I love his pictures!

The Willie's met up with me in Malad to take their family photos. I have always thought they were such a cute little family, and looked forward to hanging out with them. These two little girls were hilarious. They kept me entertained the entire time. We went to a few different locations, and the kids hung in there like champs. We ended up with some really fun shots. My highlight of the evening would have to be when I was talking to the girls about their favorite princess and they told me that Jasmine topped their list...even though she dressed immodestly. Too funny! I laughed about that all night! What a fun little bunch.

Love the Naumu family. I have photographed Sierra a couple different times, but this was the first time I had shot the whole family, and I was excited to take photos of this good looking group. We were on our way to our location when we drove passed an awesome VW van that just happened to be painted in the Naumu's color palette. I tried to drive past, but couldn't resist. So we stopped for a quick couple of shots...which I LOVE! All of the photos looked so good. There were too many to choose from. I am famous for saying that it's easy to shoot great photos when your subjects are like this fun family. I had so much fun spending the evening with them.

Trying to find a time to schedule the Schaugaards family photos proved to be a difficult challenge, but after we finally pinned down a time everything was smooth sailing. I laughed myself silly when we pulled up to our first location and they asked if I was there to take their pictures or dump their bodies. I told them to trust me! :) I was a little worried that it would be a challenge to get the two little shy ones to smile, but I was totally wrong. They performed like champs along with the rest of this cute family. I had so much fun spending the evening with them. All of their photos turned out so well. They are an amazing family.

These cute three are some of my favorite regulars. I give their mom a hard time because every single year she contacts me to do pictures as soon as it's freezing cold out. So last year I told her that the session could be much more fun when everyone wasn't shivering :) So I was excited when we were able to work out a time in the warmth! We started at the old truck, and the kids were so excited to get in...we had no idea how filthy they would be after! I should have got a shot of all three of them looking at their hands covered in who knows what. I had a lot of fun with this bunch and I love how their photos turned out. Oh the Hanks family! I took their engagement photos many moons ago, so it's so fun that I finally was able to get an updated family shot! Little Bridger has made a solo appearance several times on the blog, but this was our first family shoot. We also doubled up and did Bridger's 2 year shots at the same time, and oh man, can that boy move. I spent most of the time laughing while his mom chased him literally everywhere, and I have the shots to document it :) I thought all of their photos turned out great. I just love this little family.

I took these two little Lamb's pictures a couple of years ago and I was so excited when their mom contacted me to update their photos. I couldn't believe how much they had grown up since their our last shoot. They were both super shy at first, but it didn't take long for them to warm up and start showing their true personalities. They were so funny together, and I got a bunch of fun shots of the two of them being oh so cute. With a little gum bribery we ended up with some really fun shots.

Ashlee & Shae...The Finale

So Shae and Ashley were married in the Salt Lake City Temple on a smoldering hot July day. It was so hot I thought I might cry, and I felt so bad for the two of them being dressed head to toe. But they, of course, were great. I wouldn't have expected anything less. As happy as I am for them to be married, I'm a little sad that we don't get to spend any more time together. They have been one of my all time favorite couples to work with. Their pictures turned out great, and I am so happy for the two of them. This fairytale romance was worth their wait.

The Kunz family asked me if I wouldn't mind coming to their cabin to take their family photos. My family and I were all so excited to go. Right when we got there they gave us a preview of some of their ideas for photo locations, and it was no question which spot was my favorite. The whole area was amazing and the lighting was perfect. I couldn't believe how pretty it was even while I was shooting I was in awe. This fun family's colors came together perfectly with the surroundings, and I LOVE how their photos turned out! We had such a fun time with the Kunz clan, they are such good friends!

Little miss Abigail drove all the way from Missouri to see me! Her mom is one of my favorite friends ever. We have known eachother since we were teeny tiny girls. So I was super excited when she called to see if I would take Abigail's newborn photos. We laughed pretty hard that Abigail's sleeping face. It is not so much a peaceful face...it's a total "You're bugging me" face. We tried to help by smoothing out the furrowed brow, but to no avail. She would squish it all back up as soon as we let go. Abigail did great, though, and performed like a champ. She let us know when she was done by relieving herself all over everything...too funny. I love her photos. She is so sweet.

Little Brooklyn's aunt contacted me and asked if I would be willing to meet up with all of their family for some photos at the Relay For Life here in Pocatello. She explained that 3 year old Brooklyn had recently had her third brain tumor removed and they were all meeting at the relay to be with Brooklyn and her family. They were such a neat family, and I feel like I'm the one who got the better end of the deal just being there. I got there just before the survivor walk, and I turned to take her picture as she came around the corner. I started crying the instant that I saw her. It was an emotional time, and I feel so honored to have been there with that neat family!

I love the Horsleys! When they called me to see if I would meet them at their cabin for some family pictures, I was more than happy to do it. I grew up spending a lot of time at the Horsley house when it was only one sixth the size of the current version...6 kids, 26 grand kids later I saw that the famous Horsley smile had been passed down to even the newest members. We ended up with some perfect lighting for this fun fam, which resulted in some pretty great shots. I left the shoot hoping that my own little family would one day be just like this one. They are such great people. I just love them!

Little miss Addison was just 2 weeks old when she came to me for her photo debut. She was perfection. This little lady was as easy as they come. She let me mold her into position, try on hats and bows, and change backgrounds quite a few times before she even made a peep. Her parents are softball lovers so we did some fun shots with her dad's glove. They all turned out so cute. What a sweet little gal.

I wanted to stick with Ashlee's request of original shots and was thinking about what to do when my neighbors drove by in this amazing car. Little Cody's mom asked me when the best time to take newborn photos was...my response was no later than two weeks! I asked how old he was and she said two weeks yesterday. So I wiggled him into the schedule as quickly as possible, but let's just say he was not at all interested in having his pictures taken. He fought sleep, he went through three different blankets in no time, and was totally not interested in being still. After a long battle, however, he finally caved and zonked. I snapped as quickly as I could, scared to death to wake this little guy up and he was worth the fight. His cute photos turned out so stinking cute.

I got a call from Ashlee a couple of months ago asking if I would be available to take pictures for her wedding. I told her that I would be crazy to not make myself available for such a cute couple. Both Shae and Ashlee are from Malad and really wanted their photos done there and their only request was that they didn't want typical spots or poses. I told her she was a girl after my own heart. I was happy to oblige and met up with them and we perused Malad looking for some original places to take their photographs. I had so much fun with these guys and let's be honest, look what a hot couple they are :) and it is more than obvious that these two are totally smitten with one another. We ended up with more shots than I care to admit, and I love them all! I think this may have been one of the very hardest photo shoots to narrow down to favorites. They have their work cut out for them!

This cute family has had me take their pictures for the past 4 years, and every single year it ends up freezing, snowing, you name it. So this year instead of fall pictures they decided to wait until spring and hope for the best. Well, they bought some springier outfits, and booked a day in May, but we still froze! They wore jackets from location to location, but did a good job faking their warmth for the camera :) Regardless of weather, these are my favorite pictures of them so far! I love taking pictures of this fun family. It's always a good time when I'm photographing them.

Baby Kayson

This perfect little baby came for his newborn debut at just 10 days old. Kayson was one of the very best babies I've ever photographed, if not the best. The only challenge we had was getting this sweet boy to sleep without binky rings on his cheeks-major sucking power! But once he was out we were golden. He posed perfectly in every single position I tried. I always feel guilty moving these perfect little things around when they look so still, but Kayson was a champ and didn't mind a bit. Kayson's parents are so sweet, so it's not hard to figure out where his demeanor came from. I love how all his photos turned out.

I just love this family! They have been my Pocatello family for the past couple of years, and when the moms of these adorable kids put in a request for some grand kids pictures I was more than happy to oblige. This was the first time that all of the grandchildren had been together since the newest arrival, and they wanted a shot of everyone together for a Mother's Day picture for Grandma (who just happens to be one of my favorite people in the world). No one had a lot of faith that the shoot would be successful...but they were wrong :) I told them not to doubt me! Everyone was great, and we ended up with tons of great shots!

I have been dying to get to these pictures! When barely one-year-old Molli got out of her car seat I almost died. Her mom had told me that she would be wearing a little romper, but I had no idea that it would be the cutest thing I had ever seen in my life...and the bow! Come on! So stinking cute! It was a chilly day, but the sun was out so as long as we could find little nooks to block the wind it was great. The only problem. Molli was ticked! Not a little ticked, every time her mom would put her down she would scream. It was actually quite funny, I don't know that her mom would agree :) But all things considered I think we got some great shots. Not necessarily smiles, but super cute nonetheless!

Miss Kabree turned 2! And we took her pictures on her actual birthday! She was so funny. This girl has dance moves. She has danced her way through 3 photo shoots...just that I can think of off the top of my head. It is entertaining, to say the least, to watch this little gal work the camera. It was a cold, windy morning, but you would never know. Kabree was happy as long as she could climb up onto chairs and have a few jelly beans. I loved the fun bright colors her mom chose for her to wear. Sooooo cute!

I took Berkley's newborn photos just a year ago. When her mom contacted me to take her one year pictures I was excited because I remembered her being one of the prettiest babies I had ever photographed. Well, she may be a little bigger, but she is still such a stunning little gal. Those big blues...oh, she melts me. Berkley was amazing through the whole shoot. Her petite little body and dainty personality go hand in hand. Her mom had brought the cutest cake to have her dig into, but Berkley just politely picked at it. Her dad even tried sitting her on it, but not much reaction at all. So sweet. I love love love these pictures.

I know in the past I have said, "I took too many pictures" well...I took waaayy too many pictures of these adorable kids. Braxton and Brighton turned one and their mom contacted me to take their pictures. I was so excited to see them! I knew they were cute, but holy cow these kids are adorable! Just in case you were wondering what the twins parents look like...your looking at some mini-me's. Braxton looks exactly like his dad and Brighton just like her mom, and they are so stinking funny. Taking twins pictures is always a challenge, but when they are mobile...hold on tight. Their mom had them dressed so cute, along with their big sis, Berkley. It was so fun to spend the day with them. I love them and their photos!

The Bowman Family

About 2 weeks ago I got a text from my good friend, Holly, that read "They think Cooper has cancer" Two days later it was confirmed that little, four-year-old Cooper did have cancer, and the one request his mom put in when I asked what in the world I could do for them was family pictures. We did them the next day. When I pulled up beside this amazing family I asked what colors they were wearing, and Holly gave me a little smile and said, "I just told them to go pick out a favorite outfit." It was a teary photo shoot. I tried to be tough and stay positive when we were shooting, but each time I got back into my car I couldn't keep it together. It was freezing, and I was praying, literally, that the weather would PLEASE cooperate! So when we finished up the pictures I spent some time talking to Cooper's parents about the road ahead. They were headed to Primary Children's the following week to find out more information. They now know that they will be spending the next 7 months in and out of Primary's for chemotherapy, which Coop has already started. In the middle of the chemo they will do surgery to try to remove the tumor. Holly has informed me that Cooper has been "really tough" so far. I love this family so much, and my heart aches for them. They have a long road ahead of them emotionally, physically, and financially. So as I have continued to think about what I can do to help these people who mean so much to me I came up with this... I am planning to have a "CAPTURED FOR COOPER" photo shoot fundraiser where 100% of the proceeds will go to the Bowman family. So if you know anyone who needs a quick snap of their family, grand kids, wedding anniversary, anything...keep the fundraiser in mind. I have some friends on board to help, and as soon as we have worked out the details of date, times, cost, etc. I will post it here on the blog. Steven and Jessica are getting married and sent me an email asking me to take some pictures of them for their wedding announcements. We met up on a freezing cold morning, but they did a good job of pretending that it wasn't too cold. We had a lot of fun trying out some new spots that I'd had my eyes on. I could tell these two really are head over heels for each other, and I'm excited to head to Salt Lake with them in a couple of weeks for their big day!

The Reel Family

The Reels got in touch with me to take some family pictures and some individual shots of their little guy, Dixon. I was excited to hear from them. The last time I was in front of them with a camera was on their wedding day. I love getting to shoot the follow up to a wedding with a new little person. Dixon was so cute the whole time-all smiles. Dixon's daddy is headed to Afghanistan in a couple of weeks, so he brought along his Marine's gear for props and it was so fun to take pictures of this little guy in camouflage. I wish them all the best.

Creighton 1 year

Creighton turned one and we shot his photos on his real birthday! It has been so fun documenting all of the stages of Creighton's first year. His mom wanted to do some formal shots and then some infamous cake eating ones too. Once we got him nakee and the cake set up we sat him in front of the cake and something happened that I have never witnessed in this situation. Creighton actually laid down on his belly and went to town. Both Creighton's parents and I nearly laughed ourselves silly while witnessing him wolf down almost half of that cake. Holy cow it was funny! I took so many shots, but each moment was so funny I couldn't help myself. They all turned out so fun!

Tom & Tasha

Tom and Tasha got married in the Salt Lake City Temple in February! Lucky for them this February has been a fairly warm one. Although the weather was cooperative for them when they came out of the temple, it wasn't near as cooperative for the ride home! We only had a short time to take this happy couple's photos, so we really busted through them, and I was so happy with how they all ended up. So many fun shots.

First of all, doesn't this little guy have the best name? I have loved it since the first time I heard it!Magum's mom asked me if I wouldn't mind taking Magnum's 2 year pictures, and I was so happy that she did. It was pretty cold out the morning we went out, but not terrible. Magnum held up like a champ. He is one tough cookie to crack when it comes to the smiling department. I tried all of my regular tricks, and nothing was working, but my bag of jelly beans in the pocket proved to be the key. Although several of his shots include a fun punch of color in his mouth, we ended up with some great shots.

I was so excited when Noah's mom contacted me to take his 1 year photos. We just happened to schedule on a day when it was so nice out. We couldn't have picked a more perfect day. It was so funny that Noah's parents seemed so frustrated that he didn't want to hold still or smile, but when I went through the series there were so many great shots of this blue eyed boy. He was funny the whole time and thoroughly entertained me. It was very clear that Noah's parents love him to bits; they are such a cute little family. It has been so fun to take pictures of some of their most important days.

When I received a call to take the Malad Jr. Miss Girl's pictures, I was really excited. How often do you get a group of super cute girls together to take their photos? So round one I shot the first four gals (which is why there is a group photo of them) and I caught up with the other two on a different day. I had a lot of fun with these girls. I was really impressed with how kind they were to one another. I loved editing their photos, but holy cow I spent a long time doing it...there were just too many fun shots! I loved how they all turned out!

This cute little fam is one of my favorites. I was so excited when I got a text asking me to take some family photos. I have literally been telling them they needed one for three years, and I'm not exactly sure what triggered them to finally commit, but I whatever it was I was thankful :) It was FREEZING cold and the wind was blowing, so I was a little worried, but little Cash-man held in there like a champ. His smiles were more like "I'm freezing" then "I'm happy." But he did great. I was really happy with how the photos turned out. Love these people.

Vantaysha

I met up with Vantaysha on a freezing cold January morning for her senior pictures. I was all bundled up in my downed coat, gloves, and boots...still shivering. So I almost fainted when Vantaysha told me that all of her outfit changes were far from winter wear. I was awfully impressed, however, with her ability to pretend like it was 90 degrees outside. You would never know by looking at her shots that it was only 12 degrees. Vantaysha was great to work with.

The May Grandkids

I was really excited when this cute bunch's grandma asked me to take some pictures of her grand kids in their Christmas clothes. She always has them dressed to the nines so there was no doubt that they wouldn't all look perfect. I hadn't taken their pictures for awhile and they had doubled in numbers since their last visit. Eight kids (almost) 7 and under proved to be quite a feat. Any onlooker would have loved watching the chaos not even so much in front of the camera...behind it would have probably been even more entertaining. I was so happy to spend a little time with the May family. They are such fun people to be with.

Dylan and Dakota are so stinking pretty. I had watched them play sports, and every time I have seen them I have thought how much fun it would be to photograph them. I was so excited when their mom contacted me to take some shots at their Sweet Sixteen birthday bash. We took a bunch of candid photos first and then took a minute to shoot some formal ones too. These girls are naturals. They are so fun to shoot. I would love to take their photos a hundred more times.

Kristina and Kory got married on maybe the coldest November day in history. I'm sure when they chose their wedding day they had no idea that it would be a day of a bitter cold blizzard. They are such a great couple, though, and are surrounded by great friends and family. I was so impressed with everyone involved. Even when asked to take a step outside for a few shots no one even murmured. When I did Kristina's bridals I realized that she was one of my favorite brides to work with ever. She was so cute and fun, and Kory is the perfect match. I had a lot of fun working with them and wish them the best.

After a little mommy guilt Crew's mom contacted me feeling bad that she was a little late scheduling Crew's one year photos. So we picked the soonest day possible for this amazingly adorable little guys pictures. It just happened to be the day after the last huge snowfall that we had, and it was a little blustery during the shoot too. I loved it, though, because Crew was totally intrigued by the falling flakes. I love taking this little man's pictures. He is so easily coaxed to smile and his mom always has him dressed to the nines. Makes for some perfect pictures.

These two beauties are two of my very favorite people in the world. They are my second family, and I spent half of my teen years with them. They are two of the strongest people I will ever know. I was excited when Joan asked my to take their family photos. Their family is spread out all over so when they were finally coming all together for Thanksgiving it was the perfect opportunity for some family shots. After several attempts at making a photo session for the Brown's work, the stars aligned and we were finally able to meet up in Malad over Thanksgiving weekend. Now let's all remember what the temperature was like those freezing days. My car read 8 degrees when I got out to take this adorable family's pictures. You would never have known, though. These girls were amazing. They didn't complain a bit. We did some quick group shots and then rotated in and out of the car to keep everyone as warm as possible. Their cousins even joined in for a couple. These are some beautiful girls.

I have been lucky enough to take Mr. Creighton's pictures a few different times this past year. This little guy is so much fun, and so stinking easy. He is curious, loves to put anything he can get his hands on in his mouth, he smiles like a champ, and is so stinking cute. Well, each time we've met up I've tried to convince his parents that we should do a family shot so I was excited when they agreed. We met at the Changing Seasons store again, and ended up with so many fun shots. The store has so many fun "props" to play with. They turned out so fun!

I really did have so much fun taking pictures of the Nate family. It's always a good sign when I get home from a shoot in a better mood than when I left. This was the case on the day I shot the Nates. They are such a fun family. It was cold, but not freezing, and the kids were better than great. They did everything I asked and more. We laughed the whole time and took a million pictures. I had a tough time narrowing down the best ones. They are too photogenic. I loved how they all turned out.
